Lady Gaga is leading the way at the MTV Europe Music Awards as she bagged a whopping seven nominations, with BTS and Justin Bieber hot on her heels. The 34-year-old has been tipped for a host of awards, including best collaboration, best song and best video – all for her bop with Ariana Grande for Rain On Me. As well as this, she has been recognised in the biggest fans category, best pop, best act (home region) and best artist. Not too shabby. But the Shallow singer might have some stiff competition for some of those awards, with K-Pop legends BTS also nominated for five gongs. The seven-piece will do battle for the biggest fans, best group, best pop, best song and best virtual live.
Justin has also received five nominations, while Dua Lipa got four. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s epic WAP banger has also been mentioned in both the best video and best collaboration categories. This year’s MTV EMAs will include three new award categories – with artists also fighting it out for best Latin, video for good and best virtual live.
The two-hour-long award show will air globally on MTV, on November 8 – with fans able to cast their votes until Novemeber 2. While details on those performing on the night, and who will be presenting the awards, will be announced soon. And we can’t wait.
